Here at WriteShop, we’re excited to release another great addition to our StoryBuilders series. This one is especially sure to delight your young athletes. World of Sports StoryBuilders will motivate any sports-loving student to create tales packed with action, heroic deeds, skill, perseverance, or just plain silliness!
Each printable deck of writing prompts contains character, character trait, setting, and plot cards that students can mix and match to craft their stories. StoryBuilders include instructions and ideas for using the cards with one child or a group, making StoryBuilders ideal for homeschools, co-ops, and classes.

OK, I did my assignment. Tougher than you think. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Where do I begin? So many articles, tip and ideas…so little time.
The three articles I commented on are:
Writing Tip: Wise Feedback Makes a Difference Tip#4
Writing Tip: Set Boundaries: Tip #1
What’s in the bag?
OK, now do I go back to correcting papers, or do I stay up and continue reading more articles…I need to do both!
I’ve only just discovered the addicting power of blogs. Thanks for this contest which prompted me to look at several sections you have here.
My comments were for the following articles:
Writing Tip: wise feedback makes a difference
Grammar in a nutshell
Brainstorming with 5-to 8-year olds.
Thanks!
Good job, ladies! Thanks for playing–you’re the first two winners! And I’m glad you had fun along the way. It’s rather like a treasure hunt, I think!
The word ‘free’ captures my attention completely — especially in December . I started out reading the articles in the hopes that I might win a great resource. However, after only five minutes or so I ended up re-energized and excited and writing with my children.
The three articles which are moving me to action today are: 1) The Key To Teaching Self Editing, 2) Thanksgiving Writing Activities and 3) Becoming Your Child’s Pen Pal.
Each morning when I turn on the computer, I run through about 5 websites to catch up on the news, weather and e-mail. I’ve been wondering WHY I keep bothering with reading the news because it does nothing more than put me into a stressed mood. Well, starting today I’m no longer going to fill my mind with more junk which causes me anxiety over things quite removed from my control. I’m trading out bad news for words of encouragement by putting the Write Shop bookmark just under my e-mail. Thank you for the offer. I already feel like I won a prize of great worth.
I completed my assignment and it was worth it. I learned a lot and thank you in advance if I am a winner Thanks so much

Doing this reminded me to look at the Blog Archives too. You’ve given lots of great ideas and tips prior to me subscribing and I need to remember to look at them to continue getting great ideas.

I really want to become a better writer!
It was good to have to go back and review a bit! I commented in Wordless Wednesday (Bad Signage), and in Kim’s blog (Writing Tip: Process vs. Product) and the Grammar Quiz (October archives) – which I failed miserably!!
Here is the list of articles I have read and left a comment for:

Okay, you’ve changed my mindset. I really thought I could prompt my three children to write through my own unstructured efforts, but I’m thoroughly convinced that I need to implement a more formal plan using tools like yours to keep them on track. The three articles that won me over are: Process vs. Product; Wise Feedback; and, Write Often.
How fun!

You have so many great blog entries. I’m not usually one to comment, but I will certainly be reading more. Thank you!
