Hi, I'm Kim--curriculum author, speaker, retired homeschooler, and grandma to six. Welcome to my little corner of the blogosphere, where you'll find writing and poetry activities, grammar tips, hope for reluctant writers, and so much more. I invite you to explore--and encourage you to leave a comment or two!

These are funny, but I don’t see them as editing errors per se. Weird stuff just happens, and newspapers report it.
We were once awakened by a policeman in the middle of the night because a senile neighbor had reported that my husband was swinging on her ceiling fan and trying to scare her! I think the middle one is a good example of a crash blossom and a copy editor having fun with the headline.
I suppose it’s not actually a crash blossom. Anyway, thanks for the chuckle!
Ah, I suppose you’re right, Shauna. Not exactly editing faux pas, but funny nonetheless.
Your story cracked me up, BTW.
