Bad spelling since 1981

This sign is truly a “diamon” in the rough—rough spelling, that is.

If it’s any indication of Continental Jewelry’s attention to detail, I wonder what they’ve done with my name (which—according to the marquee—is on one of those 439 “diamons”).

And just think! Thers one with your name on it too!

Well, if you point out the error of ther ways, thers a chance they could fix your diamon’s name on site. Isn’t ther?

They’re probably taking advantage of Mark Twain’s saying… I have no respect for a man who can only spell a word one way. :-)

I absolutely refuse to shop at places that cannot spell things correctly on their signs. I’m sure they’d butcher up my name, but good! LOL

Why, Hiedy, I can’t imagine what you mean.

Hilarious! I love it! Worthy of Jay Leno’s “Headlines” segment on “The Tonight Show!”

Thank you for stopping by, Janet. I just checked out your website and love it! What a wonderful resource!

Why, thank you, Kim! My website is an ongoing dream that is evolving. I left classroom teaching in both public and Christian schools after 22 years for a more flexible schedule. My parents are older and live on a large farm. My brother homeschools his daughters and had asked me to help. So inbetween homemaking and homeschooling, gardening and farming, tutoring kids and training dogs, I try to squeeze out time for the site. I have several hundred pages of material and photos, project templates, contact forms, the “about me” page, etc, to shape, edit, and post, so it’s an ongoing writing project! I am teaching myself how to build a website in the process; what an adventure!

I look forward to watching your site blossom. It’s a tremendous resource; I added it to my Writing Links category in the right sidebar.
